"UNSETTLE ME"

HELLO GIRLS!

We have almost made it through the book. Wow! I am so proud of you all for your participation, committment and honesty. Love, love, love you all.

This Wednesday we are going to take on Chapter 16 & 17 and we will end up next week with 18 & 19 and then on August 3rd have a big celebration with a special guest speaker! I hope to see us all finish strong and not only finish but go on to walk in all that we have learned.

I'll just have to be honest with you that in chapter 17 when she started talking about the "unsettle me" thing, I just kind of skimmed over that you know. That is just not something I really wanted to read about it and the funny thing is that she just seemed to pray that prayer like it was so exciting!!! Beth and I were talking today and she said "yeah and it seems like those are the kind of prayers God really answers"! Ha! Well...the meaning of that word "unsettle" means to distrub, disconcert, fluster, bother. I don't know about you but not exactly what I like happening to me. I can feel myself getting all worked up about it now. However girls, it is so necessary. It's like the Mama Bird when it is time for the baby to fly, we all know the story, she just can't let him sit there, she has to start making him uncomfortable, pushing him out and all. Seems unfair, seems mean, "how could a mama do that to her baby". Well the reason she can do it is because she knows what all he is missing out on and what he will never get to do unless he is "unsettled". God wants us to FLY, SOAR! He doesn't want anything holding us back and even as we have studied, He doesn't want anything between us and him and that is why the "unsettling" is necessary, beneficial and you know what SO EMPOWERING! Sure your going to be uncomfortable, maybe embarrassed and even in pain but oh the glory, oh what we gain.....Him, our Savior, the Lover of our Soul!

Think about it....pray it with me "Yes, indeed, unsettle me, Lord." And then as Lysa said in the book "Welcome deeper love, new possibilities, unleashed intimacy, and the certaintly I am held."

"MADE TO CRAVE"!

Well Ladies, We're Off!

How's it going? How do you feel about the adventure we have set out on? I will have to be transparent here and say, "it has been a struggle". I start out good and don't always finish well. However, I just have to keep going. You know Satan would so want us to quit and say "there is no way I can do this", but we serve a God that gives us "all that we need for life and godliness"! So....we are going to make it and encourage eachother along the way.

I hope you have joined the 21 day challenge where Lysa sends out encouragments to you daily. If you started last Thursday then this is the 7th day. Not real important what day you start though, just start! Remember, "His mercies are new every morning..." so I pray new mercies for us all today and claiming the promise that "His grace is sufficient"! Woo Hoo!

Remember to keep in the forefront of your minds that we are "empowered, not "deprived". I have to remind myself of this often! Empower means to give power to and God so gives us many scriptures throughout that tell us we have been given just such power. You know the very power that raised Christ Jesus from the dead lives and dwells within us. Think about it! Meditate on that! Dwell on it and speak about it! Our enemy wants us to think on things that defeat us not on things that empower us and or cause us to know who we are and what we have!

So whatever your struggle is today, I pray that you be "endued with power form on high" and that "He strengthen you with power by His Spirit in your inner man". We can do it ladies, I know we can! I have so been praying for you and we have to know that Satan is not going to step back and invite us into victory - WE HAVE TO TAKE IT! AND SO WE CAN!

Please let us hear form you and post to our blog your praises, prayers, encouragmenets, struggles, etc. We are in this together!

Blessings to you today!

Get Rid of & Crave!

Hello Ladies!

Hope this Tuesday morning finds you all fantastic! For you that were with us last Wednesday, I know you will agree with me what great teaching we received from Terra. Special thank you to to Hannah Vecsey for leading us in worship and to Julia Johnson & Rebecca Smith, two students from our Sr. High, for assisting Terra with her props. Wow! Great team work.

The word that stood out to me was when in a situation, choosing to obey the word of God and put away those things that would hinder us; for instance, malice, deceit, hypocrisy to name a few. Even when we don't "feel" like it but choosing to do as the Lord directs us to. Craving, desiring, wanting to please Him.

What makes it all worthwhile when you have someone who heard the teaching and immediately knows how to take it and apply it to their life for a situation they are in at that moment. Love our women and thank you, you know who you are, for sharing that with me. Awesome!

Hope you will all join us on this cold Wednesday night to hear Toy continue on in 1 Peter 2:1. (You may have to "get rid of, put off" your comfort for the evening but I know you want regret it). Toy has been blessed with so many gifts and I appreciate her not hiding them and allowing the Lord to bless us through her.

I leave you with this in "putting off/getting rid of", the only way we are able to walk it out is to

"But clothe yourself with the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah), and make no provision for (indulging) the flesh (put a stop to thinking about evil cravings of your sinful nature) to (gratify it's) desires (lust)". Romans 13:14 (Amplified)

Clothing ourself in Him and the only way we know how to do that is to CRAVE THE PURE MILK OF THE WORD! Be in it, abide there, hang out with Him today!

Love you and see you on Wednesday!

A Whole Lot of Shakin Goin On!

Hello Ladies!

What a great time we had lastnight with the start off of our new series "Got Milk" at Women on Wednesday's! I was so encouraged to see you all there. God is doing great things and as we jumped right into Ezekiel 37 and learned how "the word of the Lord" brought life to a valley full of dry bones, so can the word of the Lord bring such life to the areas in our lives that need a time of refreshing, new life, etc.

The challenge to us all in regard to that one area that needs the breath of God to breathe on it, is to ask the Lord to show you His word for your moment, your situation or whatever it may be and pray that word, speak that word, study that word, stand on that word until it brings that new life. Then, as we heard lastnight from that word, a rattling starts, a shaking, a coming together begins to happen and all of a sudden we have a "great and mighty army"!

So crave God's word today, like newborn babes crave milk and see what our God can do! Woo Hoo!

Can't wait to see you all next week as Terra shares with us on 1 Peter 2:2. Please let us know if you have any prayer request and share your praises with us as well so we might rejoice with you!

"GOT MILK"

Good Monday Morning Ladies!

Hope this start to the week finds you all in a fantastic way! Just wanted to remind you all that we start our new series “GOT MILK?” at Women on Wednesday’s, this Wednesday, January 26th at 6:00 p.m. SHARP and if you haven’t heard, we’re MOOOOVING…..!!! For right now, we will be in the KID'S WORSHIP Area. Not sure how long this will be but HERE WE GO! Two things I ask of each of you #1 Please keep Terra, Toy, Beth, Marsha & I in your prayers! We so need it! #2 Please bring your pen & notebook for I truly believe that we learn better when we write it down, whether it’s one word, a scripture whatever!

Our base scripture for this session is
1 Peter 2:2
“You must crave pure spiritual milk so that you can grow into the fullness of your salvation.
Cry for this nourishment as a baby cries for milk..”

We pray that each of our desire is that we have a greater hunger, thirst, craving for the word of God! That we “study to show ourselves approved”. We pray that we learn not to “live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Father” and in by doing so we “grow up”!

This week I will be teaching out of Ezekiel 37:1-14. Please prepare by reading this passage of scripture ahead of time!

Can’t wait to see what the Lord has in store for us and be sure to bring a friend!
